I had my autism assessment with Dr Owen Roberts. I had previously been diagnosed with ADHD and he demonstrated a lot of knowledge and understanding of how autism presents in women and specifically how women with both autism and ADHD may present. He was very patient, clear in his communication and understood exactly how I may be feeling and was very aware when I became overwhelmed and may need a break. He explained at the beginning of the assessment that he may need to conduct further assessments with me and my close family and prepared me for the possibility that I may not receive a diagnosis at all. I appreciated this as it takes my brain some time to process unanticipated changes and it can help if I am given notice that a change may happen. He was very thorough in his questions and did not get frustrated when I struggled to stay on track or took time to process before answering. He explained everything thoroughly at the end of the assessment so that I knew exactly what to expect next. I was diagnosed with autism and I feel completely confident in this diagnosis. I cannot recommend him enough.

Dr Roberts was immediately reassuring, he listened to all my answers and I felt he showed genuine interest.. he was at all times very clear with his questions and generous with allowing me time to answer .. I felt very able to talk to him and very quickly at ease.. at no point did I feel uncomfortable or judged .. I am incredibly happy I was fortunate enough to share my story and have my assessment with Dr Roberts and fully satisfied with the final outcome.
